A new Dutch series on Netflix, the streaming service does not offer that scoop every day. At the moment we are looking forward to it Roosters (2025)a comedy series about a group of friends trying to survive in the modern world. A release update of the series reveals that we can start enjoying the episodes very soon.
Crisis time
Of Roosters from the title are Mike, Daan, Ivo and Greg, four middle-aged men who each have their own struggles in their relationships and performance on the labor market. Under pressure from a creeping identity crisis, they try to save what can be saved…

Spanish inspiration?
We mentioned it before, but the synopsis of this light-hearted adult tragicomedy is very reminiscent of that of Alpha Males (2022– )the Spanish series that recently entered its third season. It will be up to interested Netflix subscribers to determine whether the ‘original’ label applies Roosters is or is not in place.
The leading roles in the Dutch newcomer are for Jeroen Spitzenberger, Waldemar Torenstra, André Dongelmans and Benja Bruijning. Anna van der Heide (Rocco & Sjuul) and Anna van Keimpema (Happy Single) are on the role as makers.
The release of Roosters is on the Netflix program for February. We still have to wait a while for an exact release date. Keep an eye on our news and the series page in case we have a trailer and/or the exact release date to share.
