European stock markets ended generally higher on Wednesday, driven by Donald Trump’s announcement of an artificial intelligence (AI) project including investments of“at least $500 billion” in AI infrastructures in the United States.
The flagship index of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the DAX, continued its race for records and reached a new peak during the session, at 21,330.87 points, before ending with a sharp increase of 1.01%, marking a new higher at the close, at 21,254.27 points. The Paris Stock Exchange gained 0.86%, but London remained stable (-0.04%).
