While he is sometimes accused of having an inordinate ego, Jean-Claude Van Damme admitted, on social networks, that he was not capable of doing the splits that made him famous… except that the mea culpa did not come from “The Muscles from Brussels”, reports BFMTV.
In fact, the action star’s X account (ex-Twitter), followed by 420,000 fans, was hacked by former employees who posted messages encouraging Muslims to drink alcohol (the posts have since been deleted) and gritty allusions.
A false split?
“I’m really sorry for lying to you all these years, it was (stuntman) Alain Moussi who did the splits, not me because I haven’t been able to do it for years,” we could read on Sunday. January 19, 2025 with, as an illustration, the Volvo advertisement in which he makes a split between two moving trucks.
BFMTV reports that strangely, the account is still online, so it has not been suspended by I simply don’t pay my employees,” they “told” JCVD.
The actor confirmed on Instagram the hacking of his X and YouTube accounts, “held hostage (…) by ex-employees”. “The real Van Damme is only on Instagram and Facebook, waiting for me to get my passwords back from these people,” he says.
