Early yesterday morning a fight and fire broke out in a migrant camp located on land in the city of Chihuahua.
According to what has been announced, the incident broke out after the National Migration Institute (INM), accompanied by security authorities, arrived at the camp located on land on Juan Pablo II Street to evict the migrants. migrants who, for weeks, had maintained a camp while they were looking for a way to get to the United States.
The INM agents arrived with several trucks to take the migrants, which caused their annoyance, who, upon seeing that they would be secured by the institute, started the fight.
According to reports, the migrants were the ones who set fire to the camp where they lived, as well as their belongings, to avoid being detained.
Personnel from the National Guard, the INM, the Municipal Public Security of Chihuahua, as well as the Fire Department, arrived at the scene and put out the fire.
It was reported that they were 12 migrants were detained by the authorities in the capital of Chihuahua and transferred to the south sports center.
