In the United States, losses were observed due to issuers in the technology sector, despite the positive quarterly results of Morgan Stanley and Bank of America” , commented the director of Economic and Financial Analysis of Banco Base, Gabriela Siller.
He stated that the Dow Jones lost a 0.16 %; the S&P 500 fell one 0.21 % and the Nasdaq Composite fell one 0.89 %.
In Mexico, the analyst specified, the Price and Quotations Index (IPC)the main indicator of the BMV, “closed with a loss of 0.59% and snapped a three-session winning streak.”
Within the Mexican market, he said, the losses of the stations stood out: Walmex (-4.11%), Banorte (-2.03%), Arca Continental (-1.74%) and Bimbo (-1.61%).

The IPC closed the session in 49 thousand 948.15 unitswith a retreat of 294.69 points and a negative variation of the 0.59 % versus the previous day.
The volume traded in the market reached 240 million titles for an amount of 13,479 million pesos.

The securities with the greatest upward variation were from the water storage, conduction and improvement company Grupo Rotoplas (WATER), with 6.54%; of the Elektra appliance store chain (ELEKTRA), with 5.41%and the rail transport company Grupo México Transportes (GMXT), with 4.08%.
