With a score of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, you would think so Young Wallander (2020–2022) is highly recommended on Netflix, but negative reactions to X make us believe otherwise. “Try Young Wallander if you want to torture yourself. Not possible,” it sounds. Viewers don’t seem to agree about the British detective series. Have you seen it yet?
6.9Young Wallander (2020‑2022)
The series is based on the character Kurt Wallander from the books by Hening Mankell, which has previously been made into a Swedish and a British series. Then Kenneth Branagh, among others, took on the role of the detective.
In Young Wallander we see how a younger version of the well-known character lives in our time, and how he has to put aside his own feelings of guilt after he cannot save a teenager from a gruesome murder. It is up to the officer to track down the perpetrator.
