To carry out the procedure in person, follow these steps:
- Generate your capture line: Enter the website of the Secretariat of Administration and Finance of Mexico City.
- Make your payment: The cost is 1,049 pesos and you can pay at the Service Centers of the Ministry of Administration and Finance or authorized Payment Assistants.
- That’s the agenda: Enter the appointment portal of the government of Mexico (https://citas.cdmx.gob.mx/) choose the date and time that best suits you in the Vehicle Control and License Modules or in the Treasury Service Centers.
- Go to your appointment: Bring the required documents on the selected day and time. Check that all your information is correct and sign accordingly.
- Reception: They will give you your renewed license immediately.

Online procedure
If you prefer to complete the process online, follow these steps:
- Sign in: Access with your CDMX Key in the Mexico City App or in the CDMX Key portal.
- Enter your details: Provide your driver’s license number and your RFC.
- Pay online: Make the payment of $1,049.00.
- Download your receipt: Save the receipt as a backup.
Once the digital process is completed, your permanent license will be available in the Mexico City App and you can consult it at any time.
