This storm, accompanied by cold front 22, will cause extremely cold weather, with strong winds and intense rains in several regions of the country.
For tomorrow, The second winter storm will weaken to a polar trough that will extend through the northwest and north of the country. In interaction with the polar jet stream, a cold to icy climate will remain in these regions, with rain and intervals of showers. The winds will be very strong, with gusts of up to 90 km/h, especially in entities of the Mesa del Norte and the Mesa Central. Conditions for snow or sleet will continue in the mountains of Sonora, Sinaloa (northeast), Durango, Chihuahua and Coahuila, and freezing rain in Zacatecas and northern Nuevo León.
On the other hand, Cold front No. 22 will move quickly towards the northeast and east of Mexico, generating rain with showers and heavy occasional rains. The polar air mass associated with the front will cause a strong to very strong “Northerly” event, with wind gusts of up to 90 km/h in Tamaulipas and Veracruz. This front will maintain a cold environment during the morning and night in the northeast, east and center of the country. In addition, the humidity from the Pacific Ocean will continue to generate rain and intervals of showers in the west, center and southeast of Mexico.
