Even though it was grandly announced at the TGA Game Awards ceremony, Hasbro’s “Transformers” adaptation game “Transformers: Restart”
(Transformers: Reactivate) still brings regrettable news, the development of this game has been confirmed to be cancelled.
“Transformers: Restart” is exclusively developed and published by Splash Damage, the London developer of “Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory”. The 2022 TGA Game Awards brought a teaser promotional video. There was still no new news until last year’s TGA ceremony, and then came Studio makes tough decision.
According to the Splash Damage announcement, “Transformers: Restart” has been confirmed to be canceled. The studio will transfer resources to new projects. At the same time, it admitted that the size of the team will be reduced and some personnel may face layoffs.
“This decision was not easy, and it is a difficult time for the studio and our employees. We would like to especially thank the Transformers team for their dedication and enthusiasm.”

It is understood that “Transformers: Restart” was originally designed as an online action game for 1 to 4 people to cooperate, and would support cross-platform connections between PC and game consoles. However, due to the unsatisfactory development progress, this work I had no chance to come to the market to see the real chapter.
