On the occasion of the annual launch of the “Yellow Coins” operation, Brigitte Macron gave news of the president’s current state of mind. And according to her, Emmanuel Macron is sometimes “bruised” by “what he hears”, even though he “deserves” “respect”.
During an interview broadcast on Wednesday by TF1, Brigitte Macron was questioned about her husband, her relationship with the French, the dissolution or even her desire to complete her mandate.
Brigitte Macron advocates “respect”
Has he changed? “Changed, no. Let’s just say that sometimes what he hears hurts him. It’s very difficult. But he doesn’t say it. He keeps it for himself. Before, he spoke much more easily. Now he doesn’t say it. And I understand that. Because if there is one thing that Emmanuel deserves, it is respect,” she told the 1 p.m. newspaper.
The dissolution of the National Assembly, on which the president made his mea culpa during his New Year’s greetings? “I think that it is History which will ultimately give the meaning of this dissolution, whether it should be done or not done (…) We need to see what happens next. I think we are too much, sorry for that expression, with our noses in the handlebars,” replied his wife. “It’s not up to me to say what I think, I’ve never said it, I’ll never say it,” she insisted.
The hypothesis of a swept resignation
However, she added that she thought that the dissolution was one of the “anxiety factors” which complicated the lives of the French, whom she said felt “anxious” and “a little bit lost”. “They need meaning” because “everyday life is very difficult,” said Brigitte Macron. “Where we talk about France best is when I travel: abroad, France seems a land of plenty where we have health, we have education, we are helped, we have everything” , she reported.

Asked to say whether the head of state will be able to complete his mandate, she in turn brushed aside any hypothesis of resignation. “He said he was going through with it because that’s the mission the French gave him. And he cares so much about the French (…). He cares about absolutely everything and he puts all his intelligence, all his heart at the service of the French,” she assured.
