Komdigi Finds 1,923 Hoax Content Throughout 2024

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has succeeded in identifying and clarifying 1,923 hoax content, fake news and false information throughout 2024.

Based on Komdigi’s AIS engine search results, hoax content findings vary every month. The largest content discovery that was identified occurred in October 2024 with 215 hoax content.

Meanwhile, the fewest hoax content findings were found in February 2024 with 131 pieces of content. The most hoax content findings identified and clarified by the AIS team, Content Control Sub-Directorate, Directorate General of Aptics, were fraud.

As quoted from the press release received, Wednesday (8/1/2025), throughout 2024, there will be 890 content that falls into the fraud category. Meanwhile, the fewest findings were in the myth category with 6 contents.

Then, several other categories of hoax findings include the political category with 237 content, the government with 214 content, health with 163 content, disaster with 145 content, and the other category with 84 content.

Then, there were 50 contents of hoaxes and defamation in the international category, 35 contents of trade, 33 contents of crime, 8 contents of religion and education.
