When the unnamed development plan “Project EVE” of “Sword Star” was announced at the PS conference in September 2021, PS5 was still out of stock, but Shift Up President Kim Hyungtae wanted to let employees If everyone has access to its own games, each of its 260 employees will be given a PS5.

Korean media Money Today reported that Shift Up publicly distributed these rewards at the New Year’s Groundbreaking Ceremony “Shift Up Rise Up” held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Banpo-dong, Seoul, announcing the company’s vision, the results of each project, and future plans.

Shift Up has 310 members as of the third quarter of 2024. During the “game industry winter” when major manufacturers laid off employees, they gave away more than 300 PS5 Pro units and so many start-up red envelopes, which further highlights their success.

Interestingly, Shift Up also used special effects on the stacked images of PS5 Pro.
