Sony announced various adaptations of PS Studios’ works at today’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
The first is the animation of “Ghost of Tsushima”. This is PS Studios’ first work adapted into animation. It will be produced by Aniplex, a subsidiary of Sony Group, and will be released on its own streaming platform Crunchyroll in North America. It is expected to air in 2027.
This work will be produced by Kamikaze Animation, with Mizuno Takanobu as the director, and NITRO PLUS’s Gen Urobuchi will be responsible for the story.
Next, “Helldivers 2” (Helldivers 2) announced that it will be made into a movie, which will be handled by Sony Pictures. In addition, “Horizon: Waiting for Dawn” will also be made into a movie. This movie will be cooperated with Columbia Pictures, but for these two films There aren’t enough details about the movie yet, and we’ll have to wait until officials provide more information later.
There is also some news about the recent film and television works of PS Studios, that is, the second season of the HBO series “The Last of Us” is expected to be broadcast on HBO MAX from April this year, and a trailer has been released for the first time. The movie “Until Dawn” will also be released in April.
