PAN affirms that there is a fentanyl crisis in Mexico and Sheinbaum “minimizes things”

Through a press release, federal deputies of the PAN affirmed that in Mexico there is a fentanyl problem and that the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, “has tried to minimize things,” so they urge her to recognize reality.

In the message, those from the PAN indicated that the Federal Government has gotten the situation out of hand and that it no longer finds a way to hide it.

According to Federico Döring Casar, this problem is linked to the fact that there are “well-established” fentanyl laboratories in Mexico.

“True to her custom, President Sheinbaum has tried to minimize things. She lied saying that there is not a fentanyl consumption problem in the country because she continues trying to hide the reality of the well-established fentanyl laboratories in Mexico”said the PAN legislator.

He added that the PAN demands that reality be addressed both from the point of view of health and from the point of view of organized crime, “and that the people of Mexico be allowed to be hidden or deceived.”

Ernesto Sánchez Rodríguez, federal deputy of the PAN, indicated that President Claudia Sheinbaum “he forgot or did not want to mention that there has been a 600 percent increase in fentanyl overdoses in Mexico.”

“That the demand for synthetic drugs has increased by 39 percent, like fentanyl by 29 percent, all in the previous six-year term of Morena, with López Obrador.”

The former PAN deputy, Jorge Triana Tena, specified that “all of this, with official figures.”

“Liing is not how health or organized crime problems are going to be fixed; minimizing and not wanting to recognize the problem is a bad recipe because it sounds like complicity with organized denunciation”he declared.

The PAN members took the opportunity to warn that granting “superpowers” to Omar García Harfuch, secretary of federal Public Security, is an issue that must be monitored.

“It has everything to contain the consumption of synthetic drugs, violence, and homicides, the federal Congress did not haggle over the budget for this year and there is confidence in police work, but it is not deceiving or hiding figures,” Döring added.

Finally, the three PAN members pointed out that “the federal government cannot fail against organized crime, there are no pretexts and President Claudia Sheinbaum must stop lying about public security.”
