A prisoner linked to New Generation Cartel (CNG) and considered “highly dangerous” managed to escape from the prison of Big Bridge, Jaliscoon December 25, this according to what was confirmed by the General Directorate of Prevention and Social Reintegration (DGPRIS).
The dependency belonging to the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) of Mexico announced the escape of César Fabián “N”, 46 years old, who was arrested in Jalisco on July 23, 2020, by crimes of aggravated kidnapping and organized crime.
“On December 25, after visiting hours ended and after the roll call in the common areas and rooms, the custodians detected the absence of a Person Deprived of Liberty (PPL)” , The DGPRIS detailed last Saturday in an information card.
The entity stated that the search protocol was immediately established inside the prison and notify the Public Ministry to find those responsible for this fact.
As a result, four guards were arrested for alleged omission in the execution of surveillance and security protocols, he added.
“16 people, including commanders and guards of the Penitentiary Center, were presented to the agent of the Public Ministry to take their statements and strengthen the investigation of which four arrest warrants were issued and executed,” indicated the agency.
The detained guards were identified as David “N”, 39 years old; Luis “N”, 30 years old; José “N”, 40 years old, and Melissa “N”, 42 years old.
The DGPRIS added that The escape could have occurred after the recent review at the Puente Grande prisonwhere changes to the prison system and adjustments to protocols were announced.
Meanwhile, he stated that the authorities are maintaining an operation to locate the fugitive.
