Yesterday, the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, formally put into operation the last of the sections of the short Guadalajara – Puerto Vallarta route; a project that took more than 10 years to complete and that today connects the capital of Jalisco with the beach destination more quickly.

In March 2023, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) put into operation the fourth section Junction La Florida – La Cruz de Huanacaxtle Junction, 30.8 kilometersof the new La Varas-Puerto Vallarta Highway, which allows travelers to save 40 minutes on their journey.
