Good new one for fans of Peaky Blinders (2013–2022)! We don’t have to say goodbye to the Shelbys for the time being. Steven Knight, the creator of the series, indicates that in addition to the upcoming Peaky Blinders Film more projects are planned.
Not the end
Last week it was announced that filming of the new film had been completed and during an interview with Times Radio, Knight addressed the fact that no release date has yet been set. “It’s still a bit too early for that, but you can calculate that it will take about a year,” says the director. When asked if there are plans for more Peaky Blindersprojects after the film, Knight gives a positive answer: “Well, it’s interesting that you ask that question because the movie is coming out and that won’t be the end”. The filmmaker is still keeping secret whether it concerns a new series or film.
It won’t be the end, let me put it that way. I won’t say anything else.
The story continues
The first season of the popular series debuted in 2013 and came to an end in 2022 with a sixth and final season. In 2018, the series won a BAFTA award for best series. However, the final season did not mark the end of the Shelby family, as in 2021 Knight announced the upcoming Peaky Blindersmovie on. It will see the return of Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby and will also feature Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee.

Release in 2025
Details about the plot are not yet known, and we can only guess at a release date on Netflix. But after Knight’s statement, a release of… end of 2025 probably. Want to stay informed?
