Offering Technology in the Field of Data Sovereignty, Indonesian Company Wins International Award

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – DesktopIP Teknologi Indonesia, as an Indonesian company, has just announced that it has introduced a new technology called IfVirty. This technology is said to answer the needs of global competition which requires countries to form a safe digital ecosystem.

It was explained that IfVirty is an innovative platform that allows virtualization of IT infrastructure easily and efficiently. With features user friendlyusers can choose a solution backup according to needs and optimize existing infrastructure and resources.

The platform also supports the deployment of Linux and Windows specific applications. In an official statement received, Tuesday (17/12/2024), thanks to this technology, DesktopIP has brought Indonesia’s name to the world stage.

They succeeded in occupying the First Runner-Up position in the ICT Services category at the 2024 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.

DesktopIP CEO Phidi Soepangkat explained that IfVirty carries the concept sovereign cloud. So far, data privacy has only been understood as limited to the location of data storage within the jurisdiction of a country.

IfVirty is able to remove this barrier, but the state still has full control to secure its digital data. Apart from data security, the state can also fully control technology and costs.

“We want to show that digital sovereignty is not just about the location where data is stored, but also about a country’s ability to have full control over the technology that is built and developed and manage costs independently,” said Phidi.
