Types of Cyber Threats to Watch Out for
1. Phishing
Phishing is a cyber attack method in which perpetrators try to steal sensitive data by posing as trusted entities.
During these moments, phishing often appears in the form of fake promotional emails, suspicious links on social media, or text messages asking users to click on the link.
Now, cybercriminals have started to increase their actions by using the ‘QR code phishing’ method where users are directed to fake sites via a QR code.
Usually, these sites are created to resemble well-known e-commerce websites. If they are not aware, users could also enter important information such as credit cards or passwords.
