The journalist Raymond Riva Palacio obtained a ruling of definitive protection against the statements expressed in the mornings of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
A judge ruled in favor of the appeal filed by the analyst, who claimed violation of his human rights.
Riva Palacio said that he presented this appeal after, in one of López Obrador’s morning conferences five years ago, the former president misinterpreted and referred to him as a “brazen cretin.” for a newspaper column he wrote where he criticized “youtuber mercenaries.”

Likewise, he indicated that, during the process, he argued as a protection mechanism that the morning was a Government space, since decrees were signed there, members of the presidential cabinet and even heads of state were invited.
In the session where the appeal presented by journalist Riva Palacio was heard, Judge Fernando Silva agreed to revoke the sentence and grant him protection.
This is the first protection that a journalist has won against former President López Obrador.
