AI Can Increase the Scalability of Clean Energy in Indonesia

In the midst of the rapid pace of development, the industrial sector in Indonesia has become one of the main contributors to carbon emissions.

For this reason, the Indonesian Government is committed to achieving the Net Zero Emissions (NZE) target by 2060 by adopting more sustainable clean energy solutions, including the use of renewable energy and environmentally friendly technology.

Future electric power production is projected to be dominated by solar, water, wind, bio energy, geothermal, nuclear and other power. In 2060, it is assumed that Indonesia’s electricity demand growth will reach 1,800 TWh.

This figure was accumulated from the needs of the industrial sector, household sector, commercial sector and electric motor vehicles in Indonesia.

This is a challenge and opportunity for the industrial sector to develop the latest technology in renewable energy power generation such as solar, water, wind and bio energy in order to reduce carbon emissions and the opportunity to support the 2060 NZE target.
