Two months after the events, the Swedish prosecutor’s office decided to close the investigation for “rape” in which Kylian Mbappé was involved, according to local media. The star of Real Madrid and the French team went to Stockholm on October 11, when he was exempt from meeting with the Blues.
“The evidence is not enough”
A few days later, the newspapers The evening paper et The Expressas well as the television channel TV4 News, announced that Mbappé was the target of a rape accusation. The prosecutor in charge of the case, Marina Chirakova, had since let nothing leak out about this ultra-sensitive matter.
“I consider that the evidence is not sufficient to continue the investigation, which is therefore closed,” the prosecutor finally indicated in a press release this Wednesday morning, without naming the player.
