The Unique Population Registration Code (CURP) is no longer an essential document to carry out procedures before the Tax Administration Service (SAT).
Generally, the CURP is one of the official identification documents most required when carrying out some type of procedure, However, at least before the SAT it will no longer be necessary.

To simplify the procedures, the SAT reported at the time, that in some of its internal processes, it will no longer require the CURP as an essential requirement.

In addition, the SAT detailed that also for these two procedures, it was not possible to present proof of address, which is generally requested to be no older than three months after it was issued, so that only with the INE credential, taxpayers will be able to carry out the corresponding procedures.
