Liputan6.com, Jakarta – BCA invites the public to remain alert to various modes of fraud, including online ones.
Based on Avast data, 90 percent of threats to digital service users are social engineering or criminal modes social engineering.
As technology develops, fraud methods continue to evolve. Starting from AI-based voice fraud methods, fake online social gatherings, fake QRIS, fake concert tickets, to fake bills.
BCA also urges customers and the public to continue to apply the principle “If you don’t know? The origin, immediately give the number!”, if they encounter a suspicious case.
With this principle, customers and the public are invited not to pay attention to communications and invitations whose source is unclear, for the sake of customer data and financial security.
BCA Director Santoso said that BCA is aware that fraud cases are increasingly massive and cannot be fought individually.
“We never tire of encouraging and educating customers to be more careful and always protect their personal data,” said Santoso, quoted from a statement, Tuesday (10/12/2024).
