The airline Volaris reported this morning an incident on one of its flights in which a passenger tried to seize the ship and divert it to the United States.
In a statement, the airline reported that this morning on flight 3041 that covered the Bajío-Tijuana route, a passenger tried to divert the plane to the United States by using force. for which he was subjected.
“Our crew acted in accordance with established safety procedures and protocol,” he said. After the incident the plane was diverted to Guadalajara International Airport where the passenger made himself available to the authorities.
“Volaris has formed itself as the accusing party to ensure that (the passenger) faces the full weight of the law until the ultimate consequences,” he assured. He specified that all passengers, crew and aircraft are safe and transferred to their final destination.
“Volaris regrets the inconvenience this situation caused. For Volaris, the safety of our passengers and crew is our priority,” he concluded.
