Incomprehensible directive given to Calin Georgescu. Far-right presidential candidate Calin Georgescu called on Romanians on Saturday, December 7, to go to the polling stations on Sunday. And this, while the Constitutional Court canceled the vote amid suspicions of Russian interference in its favor.
Calin Georgescu “considers that voting is an acquired right, which is why he thinks that Romanians have the right to be in front of the polling stations tomorrow”, according to a press release released by his campaign team, specifying that the candidate will visit an office in the suburbs of the capital Bucharest.
In the European Union, the last major vote annulled by the courts dates back to 2016: the second round of the Austrian presidential election had to be repeated due to irregularities in the counting, without fraud being identified.
