Clara Luciani, classical stars and DJ for the reopening of Notre-Dame

In an exceptional event, five-star casting: the headliners of the Notre-Dame reopening concert, which will be held on the evening of December 7, 2024, have finally been revealed. And if Hélène Segara – who played Esmeralda in the musical Notre-Dame of Parisin 1998 – will not be there, the show will still have a host of stars.

A touch of classic…

Organized by France Télévisions and co-broadcast by Radio France, this show, which will take place shortly after 9 p.m. on the square in front of the cathedral, will highlight lyrical singing and classical music through performances by the Maîtrise de Notre -Dame de Paris and the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted for the occasion by Venezuelan maestro Gustavo Dudamel.

Spectators and viewers will then be able to admire the virtuoso Chinese pianist Lang Lang, 42, who has established close ties with the French capital, where he has a pied-à-terre. He also took part in a tribute concert at the cathedral when it burned in 2019.

Finally, the South African soprano Pretty Yende will also perform in front of Notre-Dame, as will the Franco-Swiss tenor Benjamin Bernheim, who was already present at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

…and a lot of pop

Rest assured, a “pop” part will be provided by performances by Clara Luciani, Vianney and Garou (the interpreter of Quasimodo in the musical Notre-Dame-de-Paris), three very popular artists in France, but also by the Franco-Beninese Angélique Kidjo, a diva with five Grammy Awards who, in forty years of career, has crossed genres, fashions and continents.

The Lebanese singer Hiba Tawajin, who became known in France by participating in the show The Voicein 2015, will also be at the party… in the form of a wink, since she succeeded, in 2016, Hélène Ségara in the role of Esmeralda in the musical Notre-Dame of Paris.

Finally, a DJ, Michael Canitrot, will close the concert. Known for organizing parties So, happy in Paris ?which he has hosted in the biggest cities in the world, the Frenchie has already performed at the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey, at the Eiffel Tower (on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Gustave Eiffel) and at the basilica of Zaragoza (Spain).
