More than 35 years later Beetlejuice (1988) Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder are reunited in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024). After the horror comedy appeared on the silver screen this summer, the popular cinema film can now be seen from the couch at home: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is now streaming on HBO Max.
Return of the mischievous demon
After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) discovers the mysterious model of the city in the attic and the gate to the afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble in both worlds, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demonn returns to unleash his own version of chaos.
Familiar and new faces
In addition to Keaton and Ryder, who also starred in the original film, the rest of the cast is completed by Wednesday star Jenna Ortega as Astrid, Justin Theroux, Arthur Conti, Monica Bellucci and Poor Things (2023)actor Willem Dafoe. The film is directed by Tim Burton, the man behind films like Edward Scissorhands (1990), Alice in Wonderland (2010) in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).
