This site has previously reported on a vertical window fishing game “Fishing The Abyss” (tentative translation: Come and Fish the Abyss), which allows you to experience the bottomless abyss. The game has officially opened a store page on Steam, and it has topped the list just a few hours after the page was opened. Thousands of wishlists.
“Fishing The Abyss” is a short tabletop fishing game produced by the Japanese bitmap game developer “umaaaaaa”. Its graphics have a retro style like a Gameboy handheld console. The player’s entire game world is built in a small 900 Pixels height. The world allows you to place it in any corner of the desktop and watch the little robot continue to plunge into the abyss.
The game process of “Fishing The Abyss” is simple and easy. Starting from the initial depth of 1m, as long as you wait quietly, the fish will take the bait by itself, and then listen to the sound of the fishing line being retrieved to catch the fish back.
As the depth goes deeper, players will be able to catch more fish species, gain more “fishing points”, upgrade various attributes such as “fishing line level”, and collect many abyssal fish species.
This game has been available for free download on Itch.io since its release in October. It has been loved by many players who love desktop idle games. Therefore, after the Steam version was released, it accumulated more than 2,000 wishes in just a few hours without any media promotion. Checklist.
