The National Minimum Wage Commission (Conasami) determined yesterday, Tuesday, to grant a 12% increase in the minimum wage. In the meeting, which concluded around midnight, the organization defined said adjustment.
In the morning conference this Wednesday, The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, confirmed the increase in the minimum wage that will come into effect as of January 1, 2025.

In this way, the general minimum wage, which until now is 248.93 pesos per day, 7,470 pesos per month, It will amount to 278.88 pesos per day, that is, 8,364 pesos per month.
In his speech at today’s conference, Marath Bolaños, Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare of the government of Mexico, reported that this is how the salary by zone was:
- The general minimum wage zone goes from 248.93 pesos in 2024 to 278.80 pesos in 2025.
- In the free zone of the northern border, pass from 374.89 pesos in 2024 to 419.88 pesos in 2025.
