In the morning conference this Wednesday, The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, confirmed the increase in the minimum wage by 12% starting January 1, 2025.
The National Minimum Wage Commission (Conasami) determined yesterday, Tuesday, to grant this increase. In the meeting, which concluded around midnight, the organization defined said adjustment.
In this way, the general minimum wage, which until now is 248.93 pesos per day, 7,470 pesos per month, will rise to 278.88 pesos per day, that is, 8,364 pesos per month.
Marath Bolaños, Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare of the Government of Mexico reported that after several days of dialogue, debate and agreements, By unanimous consensus the increase is thus decreed.
- The general minimum wage zone goes from 248.93 pesos in 2024 to 278.80 pesos in 2025.
- In the free zone of the northern border, pass from 374.89 pesos in 2024 to 419.88 pesos in 2025.
This increase is for general and professional minimum wages.
