It took a while, but hopefully the results will be available next year: the second season of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday (2022– ) is fully recorded. The streaming service reported this on Wednesday. Lead actress Jenna Ortega appears in a newly released still from one of the later episodes.
Faithful four-legged friend
“It’s going to be bigger and more twisted than you can imagine,” Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams) recently shared when she was able to reveal a small glimpse of the veil. On Instagram, the experienced actress also shared images of her return home after the shoot, which took no less than seven months for her. In fact, Zeta-Jones also hinted at the completion of the recordings, but we still had to wait a while for official confirmation.
Mother and daughter
Wednesday follows its title character through her adventures at Nevermore Academy, where she gradually learns to control her above-average and supernatural abilities. In the first season, things got pretty out of hand due to a series of deaths related to the first meeting of Wednesday’s parents, exactly 15 years earlier. Season 2 will continue the mother-daughter relationship with Morticia and new family members will be introduced.
Confident
In the newly released still from the series, taken from the sixth episode, Wednesday looks confident against the typically dark surroundings of Nevermore:
That Wednesday in 2025 could be expected on Netflix was actually already clear, but confirmation was still lacking. The streaming service now provides this. She is still keeping an exact release date in the bag. Of course we will share it as soon as this changes and more images of season 2 are released.
