In an interview for El Universal, Dolores Bazaldúa, mother of the young woman, mention that, this Wednesday, December 4, will have a meeting with Rosa Icela Rodríguez, Secretary of the Interior, to request help and justice for the murder of Debanhi, which occurred in April 2022.
“We are going to present ourselves with the team of the Ministry of the Interior and that the president of Mexico can support us in our daughter’s case so that there is an acceleration in our daughter’s case because it has been two years and eight months and there is nothing. That has us overwhelmed and sad. “We are confident that you can listen to us as a woman, as a mother,” mentioned Debanhi Escobar’s mother.

“We went to the Attorney General’s Office to see the progress and we found many contradictions on their part. Since the case began in Nuevo León, with everything that the Nuevo León Prosecutor’s Office has revealed, they have not accepted seeing it as a feminicide.”
