J.B.
Among the key moments in the History of humanity, we of course include the discovery of fire, the wheel or the printing press. And just above, the Playstation. Exactly thirty years ago, on December 3, 1994, the Japanese firm Sony released its games console to the delight of gamers around the world. A video game concentrate which has sold over 100 million copies over the years.
The Playstation, you must have played it one day in your life, at home or at the friend’s-who-was-too-lucky-to-have-one. And in addition to a legendary design and the “square-triangle-round-cross” combo, the “PS 1” are above all legendary games. If we show you pieces of covers, will you be able to recognize the corresponding game in the blink of an eye?
Take our test with the slide below!
The legendary Sony Playstation celebrates its 30th anniversary this December 3.
Come on, let’s start slowly with a classic from home, just to see if you’re in the game.
This gun of course belongs to Lara Croft, the heroine of “Tomb Raider”! (Be careful of the T-Rex right behind you, though).
Another myth but without firearms, it is….
“Gran Turismo”, yes!! Or how to get your license without being old enough to get your license.
Third level, concentrate (Hint: this is not a dentist game).
Did you have it? This is the very cool “Crash Bandicoot”.
Fourth level, is that a bloodstain I see there on the ground?
Not at all, because you recognized the cover of the superb “Final Fantasy VII”.
And there, whose big piece of biceps is that?
It’s the poor man who will have to survive in the frightening “Resident Evil”.
New level, new colors. There it is…
The friendly “Rayman” who will jump all over the room.
We continue, and it is clearly not the easiest on the list.
This is the brilliant “Driver”, with its ticking clock and its wide American avenues.
Next game, with this person who doesn’t seem in a very good mood.
That’s good, because letting off steam on “Tekken 3” felt a lot of good.
The sky? A cloud? A UFO in the sky?
Yes, a UFO, in the person of Tony Hawk and his “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2”, which inspired generations of players to go break their ankles at the nearby park.
Otherwise, abstract art is always ultimately very abstract anyway.
Oh no, it’s “Metal Gear Solid”, a monument of action-infiltration.
So for this one, no clue, there are already three…
A car? A blue car? A blue Subaru car? “Colin McRae Rally,” sure, hold on tight.
Another legendary franchise which isn’t going for finesse this time…
You recognized “Medal of Honor”, who will have plenty of brothers (like Private Ryan).
We end with a masterpiece.
“Silence Hill”, one of the founding stones of horror gaming.
