In order to continue guaranteeing the right to work and as a strategy to strengthen the construction of peace, this Friday, the President Claudia Sheinbaum announced the new registration date for the program Young People Building the Future 2025which begins this Sunday, December 1 through the official website: https://jovenesconstruyendoelfuturo.stps.gob.mx/.
“The Youth Building the Future program continues, it continues as a peace-building program, of attention to the young people who are the present and the future of Mexico,” said the President.
“Youth Building the Future has to do with stopping seeing young people as responsible for not having a job or not having an education, leaving the State as it was thought before, as if it had no responsibility. Education is a right and the responsibility of Education being a right belongs to the Mexican State, that is what we recover, “Young people have the right to employment (…) We are responsible for strengthening the economy so that there is employment for young people,” added Sheinbaum during today’s “La Mañanera del Pueblo.”
He pointed out that this program will be available throughout the countrybut special emphasis will be placed on its implementation in vulnerable areas, to offer young people who could be exposed to involvement with criminal groups, a different life option.
“Youth Building the Future is part of a policy that we call moral economy, Mexican Humanism, and that has to do with the development of the country, which has not only allowed millions of Mexican men and women to escape poverty, but also promotes economy”.
In this regard, the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS)Marath Baruch Bolaños López, estimated that in this new call for Young People Building the Future There will be 90 thousand new beneficiaries who will begin their training in January 2025.
He highlighted that the program has benefited nearly 3 million – 60 percent women and 40 percent men – which has allowed progress in granting the right to work. In addition, seven out of 10 beneficiaries have found a productive job or occupation.
