Spy in London
Set during Christmas in London, the new series follows Helen Webb (Keira Knightley), a professional spy who appears to the rest of the world to be a level-headed and devoted mother. For 10 years she has been passing on her politician husband’s secrets to the shadowy organization she works for: the Black Doves.
When her secret lover Jason (Andrew Koji) is murdered, her spymaster enlists Helen’s old friend to protect her: Sam (Ben Whishaw). The elegant assassin has been out of the game since a job gone wrong and now it’s his job to protect Helen while she investigates who killed Jason and why.
Together they embark on a mission that will lead them to uncover a vast, interconnected conspiracy. One that connects London’s dark underworld to a looming geopolitical crisis – and leaves them wondering about the costs of the moral choices they’ve made…

The series is directed by The Crown director Alex Gabassi and The Power director Lisa Gunning. In addition to Knightley, who we know from the Pirates of the Caribbean films, the other roles are for Perfume star Ben Whishaw, Happy Valley actress Sarah Lancashire, Carnival Row actor Andrew Buchan and Adeel Akhtar, known from Fool Me Once (2024).
