Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Indonesian national esports team Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Women has once again proven their dominance in the international esports arena.
After becoming world champion at the 16th IESF World Esports Championships 2024 in Riyadh, the Indonesian national team won a gold medal at the 2024 Asian Esports Games.
In this prestigious esports event, Venny “Fumi” Lim, Cindy “Cinny” Laurent Siswanto, Viorelle “Vival” Valencia Chen, Michelle “Chell” Denise Siswanto, and Vivi “Vivian” Indrawaty, successfully defeated the strong Philippine team.
Meeting in the Grand Final round of the 2024 Asian Esports Games, Vivian et al had to undergo a duel full of tension from the first round on. Evidently, the two teams fought for more than 30 minutes.
Even though they faced great pressure from their opponents, the Indonesian national team showed smart strategy and solid teamwork, especially in the last two games, which ultimately led them to a brilliant victory.
Chairman of the Indonesian Esports National Team, Tjahjono Prasetyanto, expressed his pride in this achievement.
“This victory is proof that the Indonesian MLBB Women’s national team is able to compete at the highest level,” said Tjahjono as quoted in his statement, Thursday (28/11/2024).
The coach of the Indonesian MLBB Women’s team, Ilyas Pahmanda, added that this victory was not only about medals, but also about fighting spirit and inspiration for the younger generation.
“We hope that this achievement will motivate young players to continue training and make Indonesia proud on the international stage,” he said.
With this victory, the Indonesian MLBB Women’s National Team not only added to its gold medal collection, but also strengthened its reputation as one of the best esports teams in the world.
