Member of the West Java DPRD, Ineu Purwa Dewi, believes that negative content such as pornography, violence and LGBT are some of the problems that haunt the younger generation, and need serious attention from all parties, including the state.
“The existing progress presents various challenges, including in West Java, especially in dealing with digital content which is difficult to deal with, including sensitive issues such as pornography, violence and LGBT which affect our current young generation,” he explained.
“It is these challenges that must be addressed, to revise regulations so that they can cover and answer the challenges that exist today,” concluded Ineu.
This was confirmed through research conducted by KPID West Java in collaboration with Pasundan University Bandung – involving 504 respondents from generations X, Y and Z in West Java.
“From the research we conducted, 200 respondents said they were worried, 174 respondents were neutral and 117 respondents were very worried, while 12 respondents said they were not worried and 1 other person was not very worried, this shows how high the public’s concern is about OTT content,” said the Head of the Research Team. from Pasundan University Bandung, Almadina Rakhmaniar.
