As a result of Operation Enjambre, led by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) and federal security corporations, seven police officers and public officials from various Mexican municipalities related to the operation of groups of the racketeering.
Among those detained is the mayor of Amanalco, María Elena Robles; the honorary president of the DIF of Tonatico and husband of the municipal president, Ellery Guadalupe “N”.
As well as the operational director of Citizen Security and Prevention of Ixtapaluca, Rodolfo “N”; the head of the region of the Directorate of Citizen Security and Prevention of Ixtapaluca, Roberto “N”; the director of Public Security and Transit of Tejupilco, Eraclio “N”; the deputy director of Citizen Security and Safe Mobility of Naucalpan, Omar “N”; the director of Public Security of Amanalco, Manuel Alejandro “N”.
Authorities reported that the director of Security of Texcaltitlán took his own life when state security personnel were arresting him in this municipality.

Through a statement, the government of the State of Mexico explained that when carrying out the investigations into the case, data was obtained such as the crimes of which they are accused, such as: extortion, express kidnapping and homicide against officials of municipalities such as Ixtapaluca, Tejupilco, Naucalpan, Amanalco, Texcaltitlán, Huehuetoca, Santo Tomás de los Plátanos, San Francisco Coacalco, Chicoloapan de Juárez, Jilotzingo.
Likewise, they reiterated that a deployment was carried out in various sites of the Mexican entity to dismantle this municipal support network.
