For your information, WhatsApp has become a mainstay chat application for everyone today. One of the important features on WhatsApp is media sharing.
Quoting Android PoliceWednesday (20/11/2024), reportedly, WhatsApp is trying a new solution to improve the media sharing feature in chat which was previously considered quite complicated.
It is reported that the chat application plans to create a special shortcut in the text column to open photos more quickly. However, this feature makes the previous camera icon visible, so it has to give way.
In the latest beta version of the WhatsApp app (v2.24.24.16 for Android), the camera icon returns in the text column alongside a new gallery shortcut.
So, currently there are three shortcuts: camera, gallery, and attachments. It’s more practical, it’s just that the column looks a bit busy.
According to WABetaInfo, this feature can only be tried by a few beta users, and will be distributed more widely in the next few weeks.
Please remember that this change will not necessarily be included in the stable version in the near future. Meta, the owner of WhatsApp itself, is still testing it and could make further revisions.
