Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Instagram continues to strive to provide a safe and positive experience for users of all ages, especially teens. To that end, the platform recently announced a trial of new features for users.
Quoting information from blog Instagram, Thursday (20/11/2024), the platform now gives users more control over the content recommendations they receive.
It was stated that Instagram is currently testing resetting content recommendations. With just a few steps, users can delete content recommendations on the Explore Instagram, Reels, and Feed pages, then start from scratch.
Then, recommendations will again be personalized based on user interactions with specific content and accounts. When resetting, users can also review who they follow and unfollow accounts they no longer want.
“Your recommendations will start to be personalized again over time, showing new content based on the content and accounts you interact with,” Instagram wrote in a company blog.
Not only that, Instagram also collaborates with experts, such as Joanna and Clea from The Home Edit.
They will give parents tips on how to organize their Instagram accounts including their children, which is actually similar to organizing a house.
This way, users can evaluate the content they see and search for content that matches their interests.
“The new feature, which will soon roll out globally, builds on the tools we offer to let people curate what they see in their recommendations,” the company further wrote.
