According to early research, An individual possibly armed with a sharp weapon attacked four users who were inside the Tacubaya station.; After the events, the individual threw himself into the path of the convoy, without being injured and the victims received medical attention.

The probable perpetrator was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry of Specialized Attention Agencies of the STC Metro, of the General Coordination of Territorial Investigation, who intervened to the personnel of the General Coordination of Forensic Investigation and Expert Services specialized in criminology, photography and chemistry to collect clues.
Meanwhile, elements of the Investigative Police (PDI) carry out the search for possible witnesses, as well as the analysis of the images from the STC video surveillance cameras, in order to clarify the facts. Likewise, a multidisciplinary cell of the General Coordination of Attention to Victims was intervened, with the purpose of providing legal and psycho-emotional assistance to relatives of the victims.
It is necessary to point out that work is being done on the opinions of the toxicological, psychological and psychiatric tests of the detained person.
