Fans have loved the Netflix series for three years Arcane (2021– ) have to wait for the second and final season of the series. The final episodes will appear on Netflix next week, but is that true? Arcane takes place in the popular game League of Legends and is about two orphans, sisters Jinx and Vi, who come into conflict with each other due to an ever-increasing war between the utopian cities of Piltover and Zaun. The series has been a huge hit from the first episode and even received a Rotten Tomatoes score of 100%, four Emmy awards and great viewing figures.
Christian Linke and Alex Yee, the creators of Arcane, addressed the rumor that the series was originally going to have five seasons. Linke states that this was never the plan and that two seasons were planned for the series from the beginning. In addition, according to him, five seasons would be a major exaggeration. The makers know better than anyone where the rumor comes from. Nicole Laurent, former CEO of Riot Games, once played a joke on Linke by telling him that the series would last five seasons. The joke quickly found its way to Netflix subscribers who went crazy with excitement, but at the same time wondered what would happen in the rest of the seasons.

According to Yee, creating an animated series is a huge task and Riot Games’ five-season joke was intended to show their confidence in the series’ creators.
