Indonesian National Esports Team Faces Severe Technical Problems at WEC 2024

Since the first day of this esports competition, various technical problems have repeatedly hampered the progress of the matches at WEC 2024.

This ended up having a negative impact on the Indonesian national team and other participants. This problem was revealed by Richard Permana, Head Coach of the Indonesian National Esports Team.

He added, “we don’t know whether our esports athletes will be allowed to go home to rest, because a few days ago they were at the location until 12 at night waiting without any news or clarity.”

So far, the PUBG Mobile Indonesia national esports team has succeeded in making achievements by occupying the top five positions in the world.

However, the Indonesian national team Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Men had to suffer a narrow 2-1 defeat to the Malaysian team in the semifinals.

However, the various technical problems experienced by the Indonesian national team at WEC 2024 caused discomfort for the Garuda national esports team.

With the condition of having to wait until late at night, this threatens the momentum that has been so hard to build. As a result, the Indonesian esports national team had to carry out a comprehensive evaluation to face the medal match against the host, Saudi Arabia.

Learning from the various conditions that occurred at WEC 2024, Richard and the other PB ESI teams have prepared for the worst case scenario if technical problems arise again during the MLBB Woman match.

“Hopefully the IESF can find a solution to resolve the technical problems that are damaging the quality of the tournament. As a world-level esports championship, this tournament should guarantee the smooth running of the matches,” he said.
