Liputan6.com, Jakarta – iPhone users can now interact with Gemini AI from Google more easily. Because Google has just released the Gemini application for iOS devices globally.
Previously, iPhone users could only chat with Gemini via the Google app or mobile website. However, with the presence of this special application, iOS users can optimize the chatbot’s capabilities.
Quoted from Tech CrunchFriday (15/11/2024), the iOS version of the Gemini application comes with full support for interacting via text in 35 languages. Apart from that, users can also carry out conversations with the Gemini Live feature.
The Gemini Live feature supports 12 languages including Indonesian, English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, Arabic, Italian, Japanese, Turkish and Vietnamese.
In the future, Google also promises to add more languages. Apart from having conversations, users can also use this application to create images.
This capability is possible due to integration with Google’s Imagen 3 model. Not only that, users can also ask questions about information stored in Google services such as Gmail, Maps, YouTube and Calendar.
The launch of the Gemini AI application on iOS complements its presence on Android, which was released earlier in February 2024. Initially, this application was only available in the United States, but was expanded to other countries such as Germany, Italy and England.
Then in June 2024, Google also introduced Gemini in several Asian countries, including India. The internet giant also added support for up to nine local languages in the region.
The presence of the Gemini application on iOS is even more interesting, because Apple itself is also reportedly integrating ChatGPT into Siri via the beta version of iOS 18.2.
