According to the promotional presentation, players can zoom in and out of the picture until it looks like a grid, and then you will see many numbers that look like “Stepping on Mines,” and the solution to the game is “Stepping on Mines.”
The meaning of each number is the number of “bright squares”. In other words, when you see “9”, it means that the nine squares of the number are all bright squares. Otherwise, if you see “0”, the nine squares of the number are all “light squares”. “Dark grid”, as for the light grid and dark grid, you can switch between the light grid and the dark grid with the left and right mouse buttons.
Not difficult at all, right. However, the Demo version alone already has tens of thousands of grids waiting for you to process.
In other words, to complete a painting in the game, you need to patiently complete each grid. This process is indeed no different from embroidery.
It is worth mentioning that the level pictures of “Proverbs” are derived from “Netherlandish Proverbs”, which are oil paintings created by the Flemish painter Pieter Bruegel de Oude in 1559. The paintings depict a large number of people who were popular at that time. A popular proverb in the Netherlands, the themes in the paintings mostly depict human folly.
The independent game “Proverbs” has been recently released on Steam, with a standard price of NT$154. Players who are interested in playing an electronic landmine stepping embroidery game may consider trying it.
