The Capital Prosecutor’s Office investigates the presence of an alleged rapist who operates in the vicinity of the Milpa Alta mayor’s officethe suspect identified as Alfonso who was arrested on Saturday. It was the neighbors themselves who captured him after a young woman reported that he had sexually attacked her in recent days.
The victim identified the car that the alleged aggressor was using, so he asked his family and neighbors for help, who detained him and then handed him over to the authorities.
Once he was detained, three other women approached and also identified the vehicle – a dark blue Chevy without license plates – as the car where they were attacked. Once they saw the detainee, they pointed him out directly.
In his defense, Alfonso said that “they were confusing” and because at the time, none of the victims reported it out of shame and shame, now the neighbors and the affected young women themselves fear that the aggressor will come out. To avoid this situation, they have announced a series of protests in Milpa High to prevent the alleged rapist from regaining his freedom.
