The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) announced the capture of German Reyes Reyeswho was in charge of the Chilpancingo Public Security Secretariat and is a retired captain of Military Justice. He is accused of qualified homicide to the detriment of the mayor of the capital of Guerrero, Alejandro Arcos Catalánfrom the PRD party.
Arcos Catalán had appointed Reyes Reyes as head of the Secretariat at the beginning of his mandate, after the assassination of his initial candidate, the Army captain Ulises Hernández Martínez. Until 2023, Reyes Reyes held the position of Vicefiscal of Research Serious crimes in the FGEunder the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Sandra Luz Valdovinos Salmerón.
The FGE reported around 4 in the afternoon about the arrest of Germán “N” in Chilpancingocarried out by ministerial police together with soldiers from the Army and the National Guard.
