Chirstopher Nolan is currently busy casting for his latest film and has added a brand new name. Black Panther actress Lupita Nyong’o joins the project, which includes Marvel colleagues Tom Holland and Zendaya.
Reunification
Last October it was announced that Nolan is working on an as yet unknown new project in which Matt Damon will play the leading role. The two are no strangers to each other, as this will be their third collaboration after Interstellar (2014) in Oppenheimer (2023). In addition to Damon, the director is bringing along an old acquaintance to work with for the third time, namely The Dark Knight Rises actress Anne Hathaway who also appears in Interstellar played.
New collaboration
This will be the first collaboration between Nolan and Uncharted actor Tom Holland and his Spider-Man colleague real life girlfriend Zendaya. The latest addition to the project is 12 Years a Slave actress Lupita Nyong’o, who, after collaborations with directors such as Steve McQueen, Jordan Peele and JJ Abrams, can now also add Christopher Nolan to that list.
In theaters July 2026
Nolan will not only direct his latest film, but he also wrote the script himself. Unfortunately, details about the story remain secret. The film is expected to go into production early next year, with a US release date scheduled for 17 July 2026.
