Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election immediately attracted the attention of many parties, especially leaders in the technology industry, from Elon Musk to Tim Cook.
Almost at the same time, they immediately uploaded congratulations and support for Trump on the X social media timeline – formerly known as Twitter.
Some of them fully support it, while others hope to establish more harmonious relations with the US president who often disagrees with them.
Elon Musk, owner of X, SpaceX, Tesla, and Neuralink is one of Trump’s vocal supporters. Elon Musk donated USD 75 million to America PAC, a pro-Trump committee.
Before the election, Trump also promised to appoint Elon Musk as head of the government efficiency commission if he was re-elected.
Apple CEO Tim Cook also offered congratulations via his personal account at
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman tweeted “a great success in his work.” In a follow-up post, he wrote, “it is critical for the US to maintain its leadership in developing AI with democratic values.”
